A Hindu in the House

You shall have no other gods before Me."

 (Exodus 20:3 NKJV)

According to Bill Keller, host of LivePrayer, Thursday was a "sad day in our nation!"

Thursday was a dark day spiritually for our nation. For the first time since the Senate was formed in 1789, the opening prayer was delivered by a Hindu Chaplain.  This nation which was founded on "one nation UNDER GOD," prayed to the numerous false and non-existent gods of the Hindu religion.  Let me share with you a warning from God's Word. This comes from the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 8, Verse 19.  The Bible says, "If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed."  How can we expect God's protection and blessings when we have forsaken Him and are now worshipping the false gods of the world? When the next terrorist attack on our soil takes place, remember this day!

Thank God there were some Christians present during this prayer that stood against it. According to WorldNetDaily.com:

Three protesters interrupted a Hindu cleric today who became the first from his religion to offer the Senate's opening prayer...

"Lord Jesus, forgive us, Father, for allowing the prayer of the wicked, which is an abomination in your sight," said a male protester.

The Senate's sergeant at arms was instructed to restore order, but Zed was interrupted again.

"You shall have no other gods before you. ... "

I'll tell you what folks, these people had guts! God bless them!

My Take:

  • This is what happens when we allow these false and heathen religions into this county
  • It's not surprising since, as a nation, we've taken God out of the public square
  • Satan is always underfoot working to subvert the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, so no surprise here either
  • The Old Testament is rife with examples of the nation of Israel doing the same thing; think Baal, Moloch, et al
  • As our leaders continue down this path, the outlook for America is not good
  • God will eventually bring His judgment to pass on this nation if we continue to turn our backs to Him and worship other gods
  • Pray for revival. First within your own lives than for the nation as a whole. This is our only hope

Be blessed!

What's Wrong with Two Women Kissing?

My 20-something niece posed that question, as we were channel surfing over the Thanksgiving holiday. We'd happened a upon an episode of MTV’s reality show, The Real World, which featured not only a scene of two young women kissing but also the anoouncement by a male  Christian teen announcement that he's gay.

Anyway, back to my niece's question. After my picking my jaw up off the floor, I began wondering why would she think there was nothing wrong with two women engaged in a homosexual act?  What made her think this way?

Here's my answer. She's been INDOCTRINATED (brainwashed is more like it), through the schools and our culture, into believing there was nothing wrong with homosexuality . She'd bought into the Gay Lie that's constantly being told to us that homsexuality is normal and even desirable as an "alternative lifestyle". In addition, she hadn't been exposed to  the TRUTH from the Word of God to counter to this lie. In fact we have, in U.S. today, two full generations that have not be raised in the Church nor exposed to the whole counsel of the Word of God. I s there any wonder we so many of our children are buying in to the lies of homosexual propaganda?

Throughout the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments, homosexuality is defined by God as a sin, PERIOD. God goes so far as to even call it an ABOMINATION! (Also see Romans 1:18-32) That's all that needs to be said about this. So, why is it wrong for two women to engage in a homosexual kiss?  Because God says it's wrong. He calls it a sin.

Suffer the Little Children...

I believe that God holds parents responsible for what they teach their children, good or bad.

Case in point, Michelle Malkin's recent column, "I pledge allegiance to my black people". Ms. Malkin tells the story of a 7-year-old African American girl in New York who writes poetry that is a "poisonous demagogic advocacy of black separatism makes Al Sharpton look like Mister Rogers."

Here's a sample of work of this future poet laureate:

White nationalism is what put you in bondage
Pirate and vampires like Columbus, Morgan, and Darwin
Drank the blood of the sheep, trampled all over them with
Steel, tricks and deceit.

Now where in the world does a 7-year-old come up with this tripe? That's right ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, from her parent. In this particular case, it happens to be her father, "a Nation of Islam poet/activist."

This is no different than a white supremacist poisoning his or her child with the same kind of race habaiting garbage.

Please don't misunderstand me. I wholeheartedly believe parents have every right to raise their children as they see fit, within the law. But I cannot help but to think that those who teach their children how to hate will have to answer to God.

Jesus says in the book of Saint Mark, "Suffer the little children to come to unto Me, and forbid them not" (Mark 10:14 KJV). Since God is love, how can children come to Him if they are filled with hate?

For the Love of Manna

Just when I thought I heard it all, here comes another shock. It appears that film and television star Damon Wayans, of ABC's hit comedy "My Wife & Kids", is trying to copyright the N-Word!

In a recent column in the New York Daily News, columnist Stanley Crouch writes:

Damon Wayans has spent the past 14 months trying to copyright the N-word with "iggas" instead of "iggers." He wants to put it on apparel and whatnot. So far, he has not been successful but one can imagine young American kids wearing that word emblazoned on clothes and listening to rap "songs" in which the N-word frequently appears, in conjunction with "bitches" and "hos," among other denigrations.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. Wayans is actually trying to cash in on a word that for at least over the last 400 years has been considered one of the most offensive and inflammatory racial slurs ever uttered in the English language.

I believe this does nothing but to further discredit blacks in the eyes of other races. With the recent deaths of two great civil-rights-era figures, (Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King) it flies smack into the face of what they and our parents, aunts, uncles, et al. worked so hard and so long to accomplish.

Crouch goes on to say:

However this comes out, it is further proof of how remarkably decadent our moment is. On the one hand, opportunistic numbskulls use the rhetoric of free speech and the liberal arts to justify the thick presence of misogyny and insult in their material, meaning that constantly referring to women as bitches and hos is an expression of their artistry and their freedom of speech. So is the constant screaming of the N-word.

Now we have a comedian attempting to copyright the N-word so that everyone who uses it will have to pay him for the right. I guess that takes its place right next to John Singleton, Spike Lee and Will Smith supporting the dehumanizing "Hustle & Flow." In the world of entertainment, the siren call of the commercial, however hollow and denigrating, seems impossible for many to resist, a fact that transcends all ethnic, sexual and religious distinctions.

I agree. So, there it is folks. It's always about the money. It doesn't make any difference that numerous people have died over the use of this slur. It matters not that this pejorative word continues to be a trigger for hate. No, it's the same old " if it makes me a dollar, I'll use it like a cheap whore" mentality.

Mr. Wayans is just another pimp. What's important to him is not the history of hurt and division behind this word. No, no, no. We'll just brush that aside. It's all about the Benjamins. Where's Jesse Jackson or Farrakhan when you need them?

Kanye West's Delusions of Grandeur

After his recent controversial appearance as Jesus Christ on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, rapper Kayne West now believes the Bible should be rewritten so to include him. According to West,  "I bring up historical subjects in a way that makes kids want to learn about them. I'm an inspirational speaker. I changed the sound of music more than one time... For all those reasons, I'd be a part of the Bible. I'm definitely in the history books already."

Can someone, please, tell me what this guy’s on? It makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

Another Victory!!!

After reporting last week on an upcoming anti-Christian episode of NBC’s show “Will & Grace”, NBC has seen the light. According to a news release from the AFA, “NBC has decided to cancel an offensive segment from the April 13 episode”.

Let me say this again for all to hear, our voices matter if we will only take a stand for what we believe is truth!

NBC at It Again

You’d think this folks would get a clue after awhile. I guess not. NBC is bashing Christians again. This time it’s on an upcoming episode of "Will and Grace" that mocks the crucifixion of Christ. And get this…it’s airing April 13th the night before Good Friday. (Source)

NBC recently cancelled another Christian bashing show, "The Book of Daniel", after receiving a great deal of protest from Christians. This appears to be their payback. Join me in contacting your local NBC affiliate and request that they not air this episode of "Will and Grace." Maybe they’ll finally wake up and smell the coffee.

NBC Drops "The Book of Daniel"

I took part of a boycott of my local NBC affiliate to protest the airing of their new show "The Book of Daniel" which, in my opinion ridiculed Christians. Well, it looks like our effort and those of others across the nation have gotten their message across to NBC.

Here's the story according to Citizen Link:

NBC has apparently made an abrupt decision to stop airing
a controversial TV show that some affiliates had refused
to carry and many advertisers had chosen to avoid.

"The Book of Daniel" featured a drug-addicted Episcopal
priest, his alcoholic wife and a laid-back, unconventional
"Jesus" who would show up in person to speak with the lead
character.

The series' creator and writer, Jack Kenny, made the
low-key announcement on a message board on the NBC Web
site, calling his show a "solid family drama."

"Unfortunately, due to many reasons, 'The Book of Daniel'
will no longer be aired on NBC on Friday nights," he
wrote. "I just wanted to say 'thank you' to all of you who
supported the show. There were many wonderful, talented
people who contributed to its success - and I do mean
success."

Donald Wildmon, chairman of the American Family
Association, said it came down to dollars.

"Had NBC not had to eat millions of dollars each time it
aired, NBC would have kept 'Daniel' alive," he said. "But
when the sponsors dropped the program, NBC decided it
didn't want to continue the fight."

Wildmon said the decision to drop the program demonstrates
the power of pro-family activism.

"This shows the average American that he doesn't have to
simply sit back and take the trash being offered on TV,
but he can get involved and fight back with his
pocketbook," he said. "We want to thank the 678,394
individuals who sent e-mails to NBC and the thousands who
called and e-mailed their local affiliates."

Kenny left open the possibility of finding a place to air
the episodes that have already been produced.

This is encouraging! It continues to strengthen my belief that if we stand up for our beliefs we will be heard. We are being a light in this darkened world!

The Decline of America

La Shawn Barber recently resurrected a piece she wrote awhile ago entitled, "America on the Decline". What intrigued me the most in the column was the eight factors of decline of a society, which coincidentally, mirror what's going on in America today. It makes for a thought provoking read. Check it out!
