Remember Jesus Christ, Risen from the Dead

"Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, [the women who had come with Him from Galilee] came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, 'Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!"'  — (Luke 24:1-6)

Resurrection Day or Easter, is the most holy day for Christians. It is on this day that we remember the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Christ died on the cross so that all who have faith in Him and His would be saved.  He paid the penatly that God demands for all sin--death.

But it was not just His death, but the fact that He rose to life again from death to eternal life.  Christ has overcome the great equalizer of all men and women, death. And by faith in Him, we too can live on to eternal life with Him and be free from the bondages of sin. We can truly live in freedom as God created us to.

So, on this resurrection day remember Jesus Christ and that He is risen!
