What's Wrong with Two Women Kissing?

My 20-something niece posed that question, as we were channel surfing over the Thanksgiving holiday. We'd happened a upon an episode of MTV’s reality show, The Real World, which featured not only a scene of two young women kissing but also the anoouncement by a male  Christian teen announcement that he's gay.

Anyway, back to my niece's question. After my picking my jaw up off the floor, I began wondering why would she think there was nothing wrong with two women engaged in a homosexual act?  What made her think this way?

Here's my answer. She's been INDOCTRINATED (brainwashed is more like it), through the schools and our culture, into believing there was nothing wrong with homosexuality . She'd bought into the Gay Lie that's constantly being told to us that homsexuality is normal and even desirable as an "alternative lifestyle". In addition, she hadn't been exposed to  the TRUTH from the Word of God to counter to this lie. In fact we have, in U.S. today, two full generations that have not be raised in the Church nor exposed to the whole counsel of the Word of God. I s there any wonder we so many of our children are buying in to the lies of homosexual propaganda?

Throughout the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments, homosexuality is defined by God as a sin, PERIOD. God goes so far as to even call it an ABOMINATION! (Also see Romans 1:18-32) That's all that needs to be said about this. So, why is it wrong for two women to engage in a homosexual kiss?  Because God says it's wrong. He calls it a sin.

1 - Well, no It is not that your neice has been brainwashed - it is that you have, and are therefore stunned when she questions your dubious outlook. The only argument against homosexuality is a religious one. Religion is built not on observation and analysis, but through tradition and fear. Your post's argument runs something like this: homosexuality is bad because I've been taught my entire life to believe in a thing called God and he says it is wrong. The bible is not proof of anything, any more than a book of fairytales is proof that jack cut down the beanstalk. Your neice asking why, if anything, highlights the complete lack of thought, intellectual rigour and justification behind your beliefs. (Comment this)

2 - So Jay, you believe that the Bible is nothing more than fictional stories written to provide a moral compass to a particular people group!

3 - Isn't the christian religion based on love, on acceptance and on the power of good? What is so wrong about being gay, that you hate us all? There shouldn't be hatred in christian words, just love. Someone can be gay, and at the same time a good person. We are all the same, just have a different sexual orientation. And I make up a question: why would being gay a sin if God created us that way? IT's not because of our education, of anything else. Just some neurological process...molecules...It's not a choice. If being gay is a sin, then I'm a sin, I'm not commiting a sin, I'm a sin myself. Because gay is not an act, it's a condition. And don't dare talk about something you don't know, you didn't studied. Only those who are and those studying the gay community can say what's the cause of it.
It's being taught to children that being gay is alright to evict sitations of hatecrimes, suicide, etcetcetc...because some people don't know how hard it is to be different. There's no possible discussion about this. Everyone is partial. If you were gay, you would have a completely different notion of reality. Also, it's not your fault to have so strict ideias...And I am not saying those ideias are wrong. I respect your opinion. And as I respect your beliefs and I don't judge them, you should also respect people that have other lifestyles
